S.N.D.T.
- A.C.M. STUDENTS CHAPTER
The
Computer Science and Engineering students of S.N.D.T. established
this chapter in 1999. This chapter aims at enhancing the
technical and managerial skills of its members by conducting
activities such as workshops, seminars, lectures, quizzes,
group discussions, etc. The members comprise of students
from P.G. Department of Computer Science, Jankidevi Bajaj
Institute of Management Studies and Usha Mittal Institute
of Technology.
The
star event of the chapter is "Tech Tornado" which
is an annual national level technical conference cum festival.
This year the conference was held on 28th. And 29th. February.
Prof.Ashok Mishra, Director, IIT, Mumbai was the Chief Guest
and Keynote Speaker. There were visionary talks sponsored
by Microsoft and Intel. In all, 15 teams from prestigious
universities like IIT (Rourkee), Delhi University, REC (Trichy),
PSG (Coimbatore),etc.. participated in the two-day event.
The management students of Jankidevi Bajaj Institute managed
the various committees formed for conducting the conference.
STUDENT
COMMITTEES
The
students form committees with members belonging to each
course. The Public Relations Committee and Placement Committee
facilitate the interaction between the industry and the
institute. The Student Development Program Committee aims
at creating not only good managers but also multifaceted
managers and conduct programs which help in the overall
development of the students.
