In the changing work environment of the 1990's throughout the Pacific Rim, leaders in a variety of educational contexts were being asked to extend their traditional roles by adopting managerial skills and competencies similar to those used in the business and commercial sector. India also realized the same. Dept. of Education Management established in 1986, was the result of recognition of Govt. of India about the importance of management in Education, Health & Agriculture (Documented in Govt. of India’s, “Challenge of Education “, Aug. 20, 1985). 

Master of Education Management (MEM) is designed to enhance, sharpen, and develop the knowledge, skills, and sensitivity as an educational leader and manager by undertaking persistent professional learning and development through a master degree that impacts upon our leadership practices.
